You must be a Facebook member in order to post events
Event Posting Steps
  • Click the month of your event on the Year Event Calendars list above
  • Then click the date of your event on the Month Calendar (ie: December 2012)
  • Then click "Comment" and login to Facebook
  • Then click "Post to Facebook" to post event to your page
  • Then click "Add a comment..." and post your event
  • Please post your event in the following format:
  • Event: (some catchy name to entice readers to attend)
  • Location: (name of your venue or the actual street address)
  • Date: (post event on each actual date for ongoing events)
  • Time: (include beginning and ending times)
  • Contact: (optional - name of contact, phone number, email address)
  • Website: (optional - URL of a page on YOUR group or event site)
  • Information: (be as detailed as possible)
  • You're done (easy stuff)
Event Posting Rules
  • Post only San Diego County area, Temecula, and TJ events
  • Post each unique event only on the actual date(s) of the event(s)
  • Events must be open to the public either free or paid
  • Events are listed FREE with no obligation
  • Unrelated posts and spam will be deleted
  • Remember to include all the information in the Event Posting Steps above
  • San Diego California Events reserves the right to delete any posted event
  • Posting an ongoing show: You should post an ongoing show at least on the opening and closing dates. You are welcome to post the show on each running date, if you so desire.
  • Posting an ongoing exhibit: As with ongoing shows, you should post your exhibit at least on the opening and closing dates. Again, you are welcome to post the exhibit on each running date.
  • Although not required, we would appreciate it if you could include information about San Diego California Events on your website, in your email newsletter, or other promotional materials.

Why are we using Facebook?
We began in 2005 as a small community site dedicated to the promotion of local events. Since then, San Diego California Events has grown to be one of the #1 event sites in San Diego with hundreds of local and national groups posting events each year. A couple years ago we went to an automated event posting system. Unfortunately the AUTOMATED SPAM BOTS found our happy little website. After looking at what seemed like an endless number of replacement scripts for our San Diego event pages, we settled on the Facebook Comments Application. The benefits of this script were overwhelming and pretty much made our decision for us. What are these benefits?
  • Events posted on the SDCE site immediately show up on the posters page in Facebook for all their friends to see
  • As friends "Like" a posted event, the event listing moves up in search sites like MSN Bing which is now incorporating Facebook "Likes" in its search results
  • With now over 800,000,000 (800 million) members in Facebook, posted events can get maximum exposure resulting in maximum attendance
